Hanoi University's admission benchmark starts from 22/40

Hanoi University's minimum quality assurance threshold (admission benchmark) for 2026 is 22/40, similar to last year.

Hanoi University (HANU) announced its admission benchmark on 5/7. The calculation rule dictates that the foreign language score is multiplied by two. The mathematics or literature score is also multiplied by two, depending on the specific major. The total score for the three national high school graduation exam subjects, after being weighted, is capped at 50, then converted to a 40-point scale.

In cases where multiple candidates at the bottom of the list have the same total admission score and identical preferences, the university applies additional criteria. These criteria are prioritized in the following order: foreign language score, then literature or mathematics score, depending on the major.

This year, HANU is recruiting 3,705 students for 30 training programs. The university utilizes three admission methods: direct admission and priority admission, combined admission according to university regulations, and admission based on the results of the 2026 national high school graduation exam.

Specific major codes and admission combinations for Hanoi University in 2026 are:

HANU's cut-off scores in 2025 ranged from 22,1 to 34,35 points on a 40-point scale. The Chinese Language major recorded the highest score at 34,35 points. The cut-off score for this major's standard program has also led for two years, followed by English Language and Korean Language.

Tuition fees at Hanoi University for the 2026 intake range from 0,86-1,75 million VND per credit. This represents an increase of about 3-10% compared to current rates. The highest tuition applies to the advanced information technology program, which is taught in English.
