Hanoi University (HANU) announced on 7/7 a conversion table for equivalent admission scores across its various methods.
This year, HANU plans to admit 3,705 students across 30 programs. The university employs three admission methods: direct and priority admission, combined admission, and high school graduation exam scores for 2026. The minimum score is 22 out of 40.
For the combined admission method, the score calculation formula (maximum 40) is:
Total combined admission score (after conversion) = [(Weighted subject x 2) + (Foreign language x 2) + Remaining subject - 3] x 0,8 + Bonus points x 4/3 + Priority points (if applicable) x 4/3.
The weighted subject is Mathematics or Literature, depending on the major.
Hanoi University's major codes and admission combinations for 2026, along with the score conversion table between admission methods, are as follows:

If multiple candidates at the bottom of the list have the same total score, the university will apply secondary criteria: prioritizing candidates with lower bonus points, then those with higher registration preferences, and finally, subject or exam results according to the Council's specific priority order.
The first round's standard scores and admission list will be announced before 13/8.
