HCMC University of Technology's admission scores peak at 85.41/100

HCMC University of Technology sets admission scores between 55.05 and 85.41 out of 100 based on a combined evaluation method.

On the evening of 22/8, HCMC University of Technology, a member of Vietnam National University, HCMC, announced its official admission scores for 2025.

The program with the lowest admission score is Construction and Construction Management at 55.05/100. The highest is Computer Science at 85.41.

The 2025 admission scores for HCMC University of Technology are as follows:

Admitted candidates need to confirm their enrollment online through the Ministry of Education and Training's system by 5 PM on 30/8. Failure to do so will be considered a refusal of admission.

This year, HCMC University of Technology will admit 5,550 students. Of these, 1-5% of the quota is reserved for direct admission as regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training. The remaining students are selected through a combined evaluation method, divided into five groups: candidates with or without the HCMC National University's competency assessment scores; those with foreign high school diplomas; those with international standardized test scores (SAT, ACT); and those in international transfer programs or joint bachelor's programs with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

The combined evaluation method considers academic performance, achievements in arts and sports, and priority points (if any), on a 100-point scale.

The formula for calculating academic performance scores for each applicant group is as follows: academic performance (accounting for at least 80%) includes competency assessment scores, high school transcripts, and high school graduation exam scores.

The formula is: Academic Performance = Competency Assessment Score × 70% + Converted High School Graduation Exam Score × 20% + Converted High School Transcript Score × 10%.

Additional points, up to a maximum of 10, are awarded based on other achievements in arts, sports, and social activities. These are determined by the Admissions Council depending on the number of applications and the candidates' achievements.

Priority points are awarded based on region and specific criteria, up to a maximum of 9.17 out of 100 (converted from a maximum of 2.75 out of 30 according to the Ministry of Education and Training's regulations).

Tuition fees for HCMC University of Technology for the 2025 academic year are expected to range from 30 to 80 million VND per year, depending on the program.

Last year, the admission scores based on the combined method ranged from 55.38 to 84.16 out of 90, with the highest in Computer Science.
