The high school graduation exam took place on 26/6 and 27/6 with over 1 million students participating. Students following the new general education program (2018) took four exams, including two compulsory subjects: literature and math. Approximately 72,700 students chose biology.
The biology exam consisted of 28 questions: 18 multiple-choice questions, 4 true/false questions, and 6 short-answer questions. Students had 50 minutes to complete the exam.
Last year, 34 students achieved perfect scores in biology, while nearly 46,000 exams received failing grades (below 1), equivalent to about 13.4%. The national average score was 6.28.
Students have 10 days after receiving their high school graduation exam scores to submit a request for re-marking if they wish, with the deadline on 25/7.
Students can now register, adjust, and add university application preferences an unlimited number of times until 5 PM on 28/7. After that, they can submit application fees online from 29/7 to 5 PM on 5/8.
University admission scores will be announced before 5 PM on 22/8.
