Ho Chi Minh City National University announces competency assessment score conversion table

Candidates achieving 1127/1200 in the Ho Chi Minh City National University competency assessment are equivalent to a perfect score for B00 subject combination and slightly higher than 28,5 points for D01 subject combination.

Ho Chi Minh City National University announced the conversion table for competency assessment scores and high school graduation exam scores across five traditional admission combinations on 6/7. This data helps universities develop score conversion formulas between different admission methods, as required by the Ministry of Education and Training.

According to Ho Chi Minh City National University's calculation method, the score ranges among different percentile ranks of competency assessment scores vary when compared to each high school graduation exam score combination. For example, a candidate achieving 1108/1200 in the competency assessment will be equivalent to 29,75 points for the A00 combination (Math, Physics, Chemistry) but only 25,25 points for the B00 combination (Math, Chemistry, Biology).

This year, eight member universities – Bach Khoa, Tu Nhien, Xa Hoi va Nhan Van, Cong Nghe Thong Tin, Kinh Te - Luat, Quoc Te, An Giang, and Khoa Hoc Suc Khoe – will admit over 27.000 students across nearly 230 majors and training programs.

The universities have agreed to use two main admission methods: direct admission and priority admission, and comprehensive admission based on multiple score sources. This marks a significant change in Ho Chi Minh City National University's admission plan. In previous years, universities, except Bach Khoa, considered scores from different sources independently.

Last year, considering only high school graduation exam scores, Ho Chi Minh City National University's lowest cut-off score was 16 at An Giang University, while the highest was 29,92 at Tu Nhien University.
