On the morning of 10/7, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry (IUH) announced its minimum entrance scores, also known as the quality assurance threshold for admissions. These are the lowest scores candidates must achieve to be considered for admission, not including bonus points or regional priority.
For the 2026 academic year, the university plans to enroll approximately 12,000 students. Admissions will primarily use a combined method, integrating multiple score components: high school graduation exam results, 12th-grade academic transcripts, scores from the National University Ho Chi Minh City's competency assessment, and other academic achievements.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry calculates candidate admission scores using the following formula:

After applying this formula, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 18 for all standard programs. For English-enhanced programs, the minimum score is 17. Law and Pharmacy programs require a higher threshold, with candidates needing to score 20 or more in both standard and English-enhanced programs.
At the Quang Ngai campus, the general minimum score is 16.
In addition, all candidates must achieve a total score of 15/30 or higher across the three subjects in their chosen admission combination for the high school graduation exam. This is in accordance with regulations set by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Last year, when admission criteria were based on individual score components, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry's cut-off scores ranged from 17 to 26,5, based solely on high school graduation exam results.
