Ho Chi Minh City University of Law plans to open four new majors

Ho Chi Minh City University of Law plans to introduce four new majors, primarily focused on economics, including digital economics, e-commerce, and financial technology.

On 5/1, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law (HCMULAW) announced its plans to expand its scale and diversify its training programs. Besides the three aforementioned majors, the university will also recruit students for a new Chinese language major.

Five admission methods will remain stable: direct admission; priority admission for students from 149 high schools, similar to previous years at Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; national high school graduation exam scores; V-SAT university entrance assessment test scores; and a combination of academic transcripts with foreign language certificates.

Regarding admission subject combinations, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law plans to remove combinations C00 (literature, history, geography) and A00 (mathematics, physics, chemistry), and add a series of combinations based on two common subjects: literature and foreign language.

Last year, HCMULAW admitted approximately 3,400 students for seven majors, with benchmark scores ranging from 18,12 to 25,65, most of which decreased by 1 to 4 points compared to 2024.
