Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) announced its admission plan for 2026 on 13/1.
Apart from direct admission for national and international outstanding students, the university will only use a combined admission method. This method integrates scores from the 2026 high school graduation exam, academic records, and the competency assessment exam administered by National University Ho Chi Minh City. The weighting of these three score components is yet to be announced.
For architecture, interior architecture, fashion design, and graphic design majors, applicants must also take an aptitude test organized by HCMUTE, in addition to the aforementioned scores.
This marks a significant change in the university's admission strategy, as in previous years, each score component constituted a separate admission method.
The university expects to allocate 60 billion VND for student scholarships in 2026. It will also continue its policy of reducing 50% of the first semester's tuition fees for female students in engineering majors.
