The donation is part of "Bytes for Future", a program organized by Keppel since 2024. In partnership with Tien Phong Newspaper, Keppel presented the learning equipment to Nguyen Hue A High School and Thanh Binh Primary School in Binh Long ward, Dong Nai province (formerly part of Binh Phuoc province). The handover ceremony took place on 9/9 and was attended by local government representatives and the sponsor.
For years, both schools have struggled with limited resources, particularly the lack of quality computers for IT education. Keppel donated 60 computers and over 900 books to the schools' libraries. At Thanh Binh Primary School, Keppel also funded an upgrade to the computer lab and the construction of a shelter, creating a more conducive learning environment for students.

According to Mr. Tran Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Long ward, the local government has consistently prioritized investing in resources for IT education. However, these efforts have not fully met the needs of schools near the border facing numerous challenges. The computers from "Bytes for Future" are a meaningful gift and motivation for the schools to continue bringing IT closer to their students.
Mr. Bui Quoc Viet, Principal of Thanh Binh Primary School, explained that the school is located in a remote area near the border, with limited resources for IT education. The donation of computers, books, and classroom renovations through the program provides significant motivation for both teachers and students to continue their efforts in teaching and learning.
Mr. Dao Nguyen Binh, Principal of Nguyen Hue A High School, shared this sentiment, noting that the donated equipment has helped alleviate difficulties and created a foundation for students to access digital knowledge more easily.

A Keppel representative said the company aims to improve the quality of education and support students in disadvantaged areas to better access knowledge and skills in the digital age. Since its inception, the program has donated 140 computers, air conditioners, over 1,000 books, and renovated computer labs for under-resourced schools in Tay Ninh and Dong Nai, impacting over 2,000 students nationwide.
Keppel emphasized its continued commitment to collaborating with like-minded partners to implement more community initiatives. These activities aim to contribute to improving education quality and supporting Vietnam's sustainable development.
