This year, the Military Technical Academy is admitting 360 students into its military program and 600 students into its civilian program. There are four admission methods: direct admission and priority admission as regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training; admission based on high school academic excellence, including international certificates like SAT, ACT, IELTS, TOEFL iBT; admission based on the competency assessment scores of the two national universities; and admission based on high school graduation exam scores.

The exam combinations accepted are A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English), and A0T (Math, Physics, Computer Science).

Students in the military program do not have to pay tuition and are guaranteed employment after graduation. Tuition for the civilian program is estimated at 1.85 million VND per month.

Last year, the admission scores for the Military Technical Academy ranged from 25.46 to 27.71.
