The Military Admissions Board, Ministry of National Defense, announced on 7/7 the minimum admission scores for 2026 for all military schools.
The Military Science Academy requires male candidates to achieve a minimum score of 18 for admission consideration, while female candidates must achieve 25, the highest score across all schools. The Military Technical Academy follows, with minimum scores of 19 for male candidates and 21 for female candidates.
Among the officer training schools, the Armored Officer School has the lowest minimum score of 17, applicable to candidates from the southern region, which is equivalent to the minimum scores at colleges.

This year, 23 military schools are recruiting 5,420 university students, an increase of more than 1,000 compared to last year and the highest level in the past five years. 72 candidates have already been directly admitted to these institutions.
In addition to direct admission, candidates can apply through three other methods: using scores from the competency assessment exams of Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; based on the QDA competency assessment exam scores from the Ministry of National Defense; and using national high school graduation exam scores.
Last year, the highest admission score for military schools was 30, applicable to female candidates applying for International Relations at the Military Science Academy and Medicine at the Military Medical Academy.
Additionally, 15 schools under the Ministry of National Defense recruit over 3,880 civilian students and trainees, from bachelor's to doctoral levels.
