The Ministry of Education and Training announced this information on the evening of 5/7. A Ministry working group spent three days collaborating with the Tuyen Quang Provincial Steering Committee for the exam. The group reviewed records of exam invigilation and grading, and inspected the processes for storing exam papers and grading multiple-choice tests.
Additionally, the working group, alongside relevant functional units, cross-referenced scanned exam data and student answer sheets. They analyzed and compared exam score data with students' academic results, and required involved individuals to report on their assigned duties.
"Initially, the working group has not detected any unusual signs in the printing, duplication, transportation, storage of exam questions and papers, or grading," the Ministry of Education and Training stated.
However, through data analysis and preliminary verification, the group determined that the math exam results at the Tuyen Quang specialized high school exam venue are unusual. These results warrant further verification and clarification, especially regarding exam invigilation at this venue.
The Ministry of Education and Training provided information and requested functional agencies of the Ministry of Public Security and Tuyen Quang Provincial Police to continue verifying the responsibilities of students, invigilators, staff at the exam venue, and other involved individuals.
The Ministry also directed and guided the Tuyen Quang Provincial Steering Committee for the exam to comprehensively review all stages of exam organization. They are to strictly handle any identified violations and promptly inform the public once official verification results are available.
"The Ministry's stance is to handle the incident promptly, objectively, fairly, in accordance with regulations and legal provisions. This ensures the seriousness and integrity of the high school graduation exam while also protecting the legitimate rights of students," the Ministry stated.
