Ninh Binh leads Vietnam's 2025 high school graduation exam math scores

With an average of 5.4 points per student, Ninh Binh (formerly Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh) topped the country in math scores on the 2025 high school graduation exam.

On the afternoon of 15/7, the Ministry of Education and Training released the score distribution and statistics for the 2025 high school graduation exam by locality. In math, 6 of the 10 leading localities had an average score below 5.

Ninh Binh led with 5.4 points. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City followed with average scores of 5.28 and 5.26, respectively. These two localities had the largest number of exam takers in the country.

Hai Phong (formerly Hai Phong, Hai Duong) entered the top 4 with 5.1 points. Conversely, Bac Ninh (formerly Bac Ninh and Bac Giang) dropped three places to 6th.

The high school graduation exam took place on 26-27/6 with over 1 million students. The group taking the exam under the new general education program (2018) took four tests, of which math and literature were mandatory.

After receiving their high school graduation exam scores, students have 10 days to submit an appeal if they wish, with the deadline being 25/7.

Starting today, students can register, adjust, and supplement their university application preferences an unlimited number of times until 5 PM on 28/7. They can then submit application fees online from 29/7 to 5 PM on 5/8.

University admission scores will be announced before 5 PM on 22/8.

Students can visit VnExpress's University Search page to see the changes in benchmark scores over the years by major and university. The system also suggests groups of majors and universities that had benchmark scores close to the student's score in each combination last year.
