The University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, held in-person enrollment for nearly 4,240 new students on the morning of 24/8. Nearly 3,000 students completed the enrollment procedures in the morning session alone.
University statistics show that 2,625 students scored 27 or higher, accounting for approximately 62%, a rise from previous years. Over 190 students achieved perfect scores. Without bonus or preferential points, this group achieved a minimum of 27 points in the three-subject combination of the high school graduation exam, 98/150 on the HSA, or 1440/1600 on the SAT.

Professor Chu Duc Trinh, Rector of the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, described the university’s admissions process this year as "successful".
"The total quota for the university is over 4,000, an increase of over 1,000 compared to last year, but the benchmark scores for all training programs remain very high," Trinh said.
He observed that technology-related programs, which have always been attractive, are now receiving even more interest and trust from students and parents thanks to recent science and technology development policies.
Not just at the University of Technology, but other top universities like Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Science also recorded increased benchmark scores in STEM fields, especially information technology, data science, and artificial intelligence, compared to the previous year.
"With the quality of students in these fields this year, I believe that in 4-5 years, when they graduate, they will have excellent abilities, forming a foundation to help the country take off in the coming years," Trinh expressed.
He advised the new students to nurture their love for their chosen fields and to study independently, creatively, and systematically to acquire the knowledge and skills required for future careers.
"Consider your time at the university as an investment in your future. This might cause financial strain on your families, but I believe it is an effective investment," Trinh said. "Students facing financial difficulties can contact the university for support."
