Hanoi Medical University announced on 15/7 the list of 272 students directly admitted to its undergraduate program. These students will be officially enrolled if they pass their high school graduation exams and confirm their admission online on the Ministry of Education and Training system before 5 pm on 30/8.
List of 272 students directly admitted to Hanoi Medical University in 2025
Compared to last year, there are 94 more students directly admitted. However, this year's direct admission quota is over 760 students. Therefore, the number of admitted students is only nearly 36% of the quota.
The increase in the number of directly admitted students is partly due to the less stringent admission requirements for medicine and odontology.
According to the regulations, the requirement for direct admission to all programs is an international or regional Olympic medal in math, chemistry, biology, physics, or computer science; or a national third prize or higher in math, chemistry, biology, physics, computer science, English, or French. Specifically, for the psychology program, in addition to the above achievements, students with a national third prize in history, geography, or literature are also eligible for direct admission.
Last year, students had to achieve at least a second prize to be considered for medicine and odontology programs, with 128 and 5 students admitted, respectively. This year, the number of students directly admitted to these two programs is 167 and 50.

Hanoi Medical University also offers direct admission to all programs for students who win prizes at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) appointed by the Ministry of Education and Training. If a student participates in ISEF but does not win a prize, but has an English language certificate equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or higher, the university's admissions council will request a project report in English for direct admission consideration.
For students who win first, second, or third prizes in the national science and technology competition, the university offers direct admission to suitable programs. These conditions are similar to last year.
The final group eligible for direct admission are students who have studied for one year at a pre-university ethnic minority boarding school and have a good academic record.
