Over 600 nationally awarded students gain direct admission to the Foreign Trade University

627 students with national awards have been granted direct admission to the Foreign Trade University (FTU), a 10% increase compared to last year.

On 15/7, the Foreign Trade University announced that these students earned awards in science and technology competitions or in the national excellent student competition in subjects like math, physics, chemistry, literature, English, Chinese, Japanese, and French. This is based on regulations from the Ministry of Education and Training.

Among the universities that have announced their direct admission lists for 2025, FTU has the highest number of such students.

The university believes this number demonstrates the institution's appeal to high-achieving students and reflects the consistent quality of education across its economics, business, engineering, law, and foreign language programs.

This year, FTU will admit 4,180 students across its three campuses in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Quang Ninh. The admission criteria are similar to last year, including combinations like A00 (math, physics, chemistry), A01 (math, physics, English), D07 (math, chemistry, English), and D00 (literature, math, and a foreign language: English, French, Chinese, Japanese, or Russian).

The three admission methods are academic transcripts, high school graduation exam scores from 2025, and domestic and international competency certificates.

Tuition fees at FTU range from 25.5 to 85 million VND per year. The standard program has the lowest fee, at 25.5-27.5 million VND; the computer science and data in economics and business program is subsidized by 30%, costing 31.5 million VND.

The advanced program in partnership with the University of Queensland has the highest fee, at 85 million VND. Meanwhile, tuition for career-oriented and international development programs ranges from 49-65 million VND.

In 2024, the benchmark scores based on the high school graduation exam for FTU ranged from 25.25 to 28.5. The highest was for the Chinese language program, specializing in business Chinese, under the D01 combination (math, literature, English).
