Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine sees significant drop in admission scores

Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine sets admission scores between 18 and 25.55, a decrease of 1 to 5.2 points compared to last year.

University admission scores and tuition fees for over 130 universities updated for 2025.

On the afternoon of 22/8, the admissions board of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine announced the official admission scores, ranging from 18 to 25.55.

Medicine and Odonto-Stomatology are the two programs with the highest admission scores, at 25.26-25.55, a decrease of about 1 point compared to last year.

The lowest scores are for Public Health and Nutrition, both at 18, a decrease of 3 to 5.2 points. Several other programs also saw their admission scores decrease by more than 3 points, including Nursing, Pharmacy, Traditional Medicine, Medical Imaging Technology, and Medical Laboratory Technology.

Successful candidates need to confirm their enrollment online through the Ministry's system by 5 PM on 30/8. Failure to do so will be considered a refusal of admission.

This year, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine is admitting around 1,900 students, an increase of over 300 compared to last year, through two methods: direct admission and high school graduation exam scores. In cases where multiple candidates have the same score, the tie-breaker will be the order of program preference listed on the application, followed by the Math score on the high school graduation exam.

Besides the traditional combinations of B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), B03 (Math, Literature, Biology), and A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), candidates can also use two combinations that include English: A01 (Math, Physics, English) and B08 (Math, Biology, English).

Tuition fees for the 2025 academic year at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine range from 42.8 to 55.2 million VND per year.
