According to university leaders, Gia Lai province is implementing a project to develop human resources in semiconductors, AI, safety, and cybersecurity from 2025 to 2030.

The 4 majors offered under this project are: electronics and telecommunications engineering (microchip design specialization); engineering physics (microchip processing, packaging, and testing technology specialization); artificial intelligence; and information technology (safety and cybersecurity specialization).

The project aims to train at least 7,500 engineers, graduates, and highly skilled specialists to meet the growing demands of Vietnam's high-tech industry. Quy Nhon University leads the project, collaborating with FPT University (Quy Nhon campus), Quang Trung University, Quy Nhon College of Technology, and FPT Polytechnic (Quy Nhon campus).

Quy Nhon University plays a key role in this project, equipped with a 12 billion VND laboratory system.

Gia Lai province offers full loan interest subsidies and 100% loan principal waivers for students employed in related fields for at least 3 years after graduation.

Students with good academic standing are eligible for scholarships equal to or greater than their tuition fees, and they can also be considered for scholarships from the university's partner companies. Priority is given for dormitory accommodations.

Students will have internship opportunities at leading tech companies, along with stable, long-term jobs and attractive salaries in the tech sector.

Previously, Quy Nhon University partnered with GEO Group (Germany) and O-Door Vietnam Co., Ltd. to establish a Renewable Energy Training and Human Resource Development Center. The project will be developed in My An and My Thang communes (former Phu My district), covering about 20 hectares with an estimated investment of 50 million USD.
