Huynh Diem My, a student at Nguyen Cong Tru High School No. 1 in Krong Pak commune, exclaimed upon seeing her perfect scores of 10 in math, chemistry, and biology on the high school graduation exam results screen on the morning of 1/7. Her mother, working in a field 10 km from home, immediately dropped everything and rushed back to celebrate with her daughter after receiving the call.
"I had anticipated a perfect score but was still overwhelmed with emotion upon seeing the results", My shared. "I always set clear goals for each study phase, and the three perfect 10s are the result of that effort".
The student stated her intention to apply for the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, TP HCM. Her dream of becoming a doctor began in middle school, after witnessing many people suffer from incurable diseases.
"Additionally, I love natural sciences and feel my personality suits the medical profession", My added.

My is the eldest daughter in her family. Her father works as a bricklayer, and her mother is a farmer. The student shared that since childhood, she has consistently strived to study well to "both help the family and secure a better future". Beyond her studies, she handles housework and cares for her two younger siblings, allowing her parents to work with peace of mind.
Throughout her years at Nguyen Cong Tru High School No. 1, My consistently achieved excellent student status. She believes that despite the school being quite far from the provincial center, preparation and study would not be overly difficult with proactive self-study.
My explained that at the beginning of her 12th grade year, she prioritized completing the curriculum as quickly as possible. She then dedicated the remaining time to practicing exam questions and correcting errors. Her most significant secret was focusing on teachers' lectures, thoroughly understanding basic knowledge before moving on to advanced topics.
In addition to her time at school and extra classes, My studied at home for 3-5 hours daily.
"I believe that to study well, one needs to dedicate ample time to self-study, coupled with self-discipline and proactivity; good results will follow", My stated, considering all three subjects—math, chemistry, and biology—as her strengths. Her key advice for exams is to remain calm, read questions carefully, and reserve the last 10 minutes for a thorough review.
Upon learning of the results, Mai Quoc Tuan, principal of Nguyen Cong Tru High School No. 1, and Trinh Thi Hai, her homeroom teacher, were not surprised. According to Tuan, My was always an excellent student, and her teachers had predicted she would achieve a very high score.
Hai noted that her student had an early focus, deciding to pursue the B00 block from 10th grade and subsequently investing in studying these subjects. This year, she earned second prize in the provincial Biology Olympiad.
"My possesses a strong sense of independence, always proactive and responsible in her studies. She consistently ranked among the top students in her class and the entire school, maintaining a steady academic performance", Hai said.
