Dang Thuy Tram Primary School in Tan Thuan Ward issued the announcement yesterday, with the consent of most parents.
As an immediate measure, on 28-29/4, the school will conduct in-person classes according to the morning schedule. With the school lunch program suspended, parents will pick up their children from 11:10 h. In the afternoons, teachers will provide online review sessions for students.
This temporary plan follows reports from health authorities of 25 cases, including 23 students and two school caregivers, admitted to the emergency room with symptoms of abdominal pain, vomiting, fever, and diarrhea over the past three days. One case required a ventilator due to severe progression.
Currently, the health of the students and caregivers is stable. Two individuals have already been discharged from the hospital.

Earlier this month, a school lunch program at Binh Quoi Tay Primary School in Binh Quoi Ward was believed to have caused food poisoning in 266 students. At that time, Binh Quoi Tay Primary School and several neighboring schools also had to suspend their semi-boarding services for several days, with authorities advising them to change meal providers.
