The informatics subject, which debuted in the national high school graduation examination last year, saw its average score drop to 6,07 for the 2026 exam, down from 6,78. Out of more than 18,000 candidates who chose informatics this year, 25 achieved a perfect 10. In contrast, during its first appearance, the subject attracted over 7.600 candidates, and 60 of them scored a perfect 10.
The 2026 national high school graduation examination took place on 11-12/6, marking a record-high participation with over 1,2 million candidates. These exam scores are essential not only for graduation recognition but also as a mandatory requirement for university and college admissions, irrespective of the application method.
The Ministry of Education and Training will announce exam scores at 8h on 1/7. Candidates can access their results on VnExpress at: https://diemthi.vnexpress.net.
Following the score release, candidates have 5 days to request a re-evaluation if needed, with the deadline on 5/7. Starting 2/7, candidates can begin registering and modifying their university and college admission preferences through the Ministry's online system, a process that concludes at 17h on 14/7.
Before submitting their preferences, candidates should visit VnExpress's University Lookup page to analyze past years' standard admission score trends by major, institution, and tuition fees.
University standard admission scores and candidate pass/fail results will be announced after 17h on 9/8.
