The public 10th grade entrance exam in Hai Phong took place from 31/5 to 2/6. The exam had a total quota of over 48,700 students, with more than 61,700 students participating. Approximately 3,000 students applied for specialized classes, and over 500 chose specialized mathematics as their first preference.

General subjects, including mathematics, foreign language, and literature, were held on 31/5 and 1/6. Candidates applying to Tran Phu High School for the Gifted and Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted (formerly Hai Duong) took their specialized subject exams today.

Admission scores for specialized classes are determined by the combined total of general subject exam scores (weighted by a factor of one) and the specialized subject exam score (weighted by a factor of three).

The two specialized high schools in Hai Phong have a combined enrollment quota of nearly 1,100 students. Both schools admit 70 students for specialized mathematics.
