The Jinan University Program is an undergraduate training program established through a collaboration between FPT University, FPT Group, and Jinan University. Founded in 1906, Jinan University is part of China's "Project 211" and "Double First-Class University Plan."
In 2026, the program will admit students for three majors: Chinese Language, Information Technology, and International Trade and Economics, using an academic transcript review method. Applicants must have graduated from high school, achieved an average grade of 6,5 or higher in 12th grade, and scored at least 15/30 on the high school graduation exam.
The training curriculum is 100% transferred from Jinan University. From the first year, students are assigned a student ID and an account on Jinan University's student management system.
Following a 2+2 training model, students complete their first two years at either the Hanoi or TP HCM campus. They then transfer to Jinan University in Guangzhou, China, for specialized studies, internships, and to complete their graduation program during the final two years.

For the Information Technology and International Trade and Economics majors, the entire program is taught in English. Students who do not meet the English entry requirements will enroll in the Global Citizen program, which consists of 5 levels. This program aims to develop academic English proficiency and international communication skills, targeting a level equivalent to IELTS 5,5. Concurrently, students acquire knowledge of Chinese language and culture to adapt to the learning and living environment in Guangzhou.
The Chinese Language major focuses on developing three core competencies: proficiency in Chinese language and cultural understanding; global citizenship skills such as creative thinking, critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork; and professional skills tailored to career paths like commerce or pedagogy.
Doctor David Hoang, Director of FPT International University and Director of the Jinan University Program, states that "language is a tool, culture is a foundation, and professional skills are the key to unlocking opportunities." Through the 2+2 study pathway and scholarship fund, the Jinan University Program aims to support students in developing well-rounded profiles.
"We expect graduates to confidently integrate and be ready to meet the demanding requirements of the international labor market immediately after graduation," he adds.
Additionally, the Jinan University Program has established a scholarship system to help students access international training and earn a bachelor's degree from Jinan University.
Students with strong academic records have the opportunity to receive scholarships ranging from 10% to 50% of tuition fees during their study period in Vietnam. Scholarship awards are based on academic results, outstanding student awards, and foreign language proficiency. Depending on individual cases, applicants may be invited for an interview or scholarship exam for further assessment of their abilities and learning attitude.
The program also offers the Jinan Gateway scholarship, which provides a study tour to China for applicants who meet the major's admission requirements and complete early reservation procedures. This activity helps students familiarize themselves with the academic environment, engage in cultural exchange, and prepare for the transition phase.

Ms. Vu Thu Chinh, Admissions Director of the Jinan University Program, says that "the scholarship system helps provide financial support for students throughout their studies, expanding opportunities for global knowledge connection." This prepares students with a solid foundation to enter the multinational labor market.
Currently, Jinan University is ranked in the 501-600 band by Times Higher Education (THE) and 540th by QS World University Rankings.
