The HUES specialized high school entrance exam took place on 4-5/6, with over 5,700 students participating from various provinces and cities. This is one of the eight specialized high schools in Hanoi and attracts the largest number of applicants.

The school's quota is 420, the same as last year. Four classes specializing in math, chemistry, literature, and English will each admit 70 students, while computer science, physics, biology, and geography classes will each admit 35. The top 10 students in each specialized subject will be awarded scholarships.

Candidates were required to take four exams: math, literature, English, and a specialized subject. Applicants chose their specialized subject exam, except for computer science, which could be substituted with the math exam. To be eligible, candidates had to take all four exams and score at least 3.5/10 in each.

Admitted students will begin classes on 5/7.
