Top 20 schools with the highest graduation exam scores in Hanoi

Specialized schools dominate the top 20 high school graduation exam scores in Hanoi for 2026, while private schools perform strongly in English.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training released the average high school graduation exam scores for schools on the morning of 3/7.

Most of the top 20 schools are familiar names, including university-affiliated specialized schools, those under the Department, and leading high schools in the city. However, in foreign languages (primarily English), several private schools like Dewey, Harmony, Nguyen Sieu, and Marie Curie achieved high rankings.

The top five schools for Math and Literature remained largely consistent with 2025, though their positions shifted. In Math, THPT Chuyen Dai hoc Su pham rose from 3rd place to overtake THPT Chuyen Khoa hoc Tu nhien and THPT Nguyen Thi Minh Khai for the lead.

THPT Le Quy Don also climbed to the top from 3rd place last year. THCS-THPT Nguyen Tat Thanh made an impressive comeback, ranking 5th after falling out of the top 15 last year.

Hanoi currently has over 200 high schools, including public, autonomous public, and private institutions, along with four university-affiliated specialized schools. This year, the total number of graduation exam candidates exceeded 129,000, representing about one-tenth of the national total.

Considering all four graduation exam subjects, Hanoi ranked second nationally with an average score of 6,184 points, trailing Ninh Binh (6,322). The capital also placed within the top 1-3 for Math, English, and Biology scores.
