The Department of Education and Training announced the grade 6 entrance exam scores and benchmark for Tran Dai Nghia Secondary-High School on 7/7. Candidates can check their results on the city's first-level admissions portal.
The school's admission score increased by two points compared to last year. This marks the fifth consecutive year of increase for Tran Dai Nghia school's benchmark score, since the entrance survey resumed after a disruption in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Over 4,200 students participated in the entrance exam a week ago, facing a competition ratio of approximately 1:12. The exam, which lasted 90 minutes, comprised two parts: essay and multiple-choice. The multiple-choice section included 20 English questions, testing knowledge of natural sciences, social sciences, and life skills. The essay section covered English (listening, reading comprehension, writing), logical mathematics, reading comprehension, and essay writing.
In addition to Tran Dai Nghia, four other secondary schools—Hoa Lu, Binh Tho, Tran Quoc Toan, and Nguyen An Ninh—also administer grade 6 entrance exams. These institutions operate under an advanced, international integration model, featuring class sizes not exceeding 35 students, higher teacher quality, and more demanding academic outcomes compared to regular schools. These schools are permitted to collect an additional 1.7 million VND per month.
Parents can access the admission results for all five schools online. Students who are not admitted will still be assigned places in public secondary schools based on their residence and preferences.
