According to the agenda, Colonel Tran Anh Tuan, head of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police's Staff Department, will provide initial investigation and verification results regarding the 2026 graduation exam incident at Tuyen Quang High School for the Gifted.

The results of students from Tuyen Quang High School for the Gifted drew attention after the Ministry of Education and Training announced the graduation exam scores on the morning of 1/7.

Over 290 of the 328 candidates, with identification numbers ranging from 080163xx to 080166xx, scored 9 or higher in math; over 140 of them achieved perfect scores. The average score for this group was 9,58, the highest nationwide.

On the evening of 5/7, the Ministry stated that a working group, led by Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong, initially found no irregularities in the printing, transportation, storage of exam papers, or grading. However, the group deemed the math exam results unusual, requiring further verification and clarification, particularly regarding exam supervision at the school.

On 7/7, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau noted that the incident in Tuyen Quang significantly affected graduation exam results. He urged the province to implement a resolution plan before 10/7, adhering to legal and educational humanitarian principles.

By 8/7, Nguyen Ha Duy, 28, a teacher at Tuyen Quang High School for the Gifted, was prosecuted by the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police Investigation Agency for "Abuse of position and power while performing official duties." This followed three days of emergency detention in connection with the graduation exam results at the gifted school.
