Passionate about information technology since his school days, Phuong put his dream on hold due to circumstances and pursued a career in business. However, he never gave up on this dream. Throughout his time working, he quietly learned and researched, hoping one day to officially enter the technology industry.
In 2022, with sufficient resources and careful preparation, he decided to return to school, enrolling in the network security administration program at FPT Jetking. Starting from almost nothing, he began with the basics, like learning how to assemble computers and install software. The more he learned, the more he realized the vastness of the knowledge gap, motivating him to study seriously and systematically to be able to work in the field.
No longer having the advantages of memory and quick reflexes like his younger classmates, the top student of the FPT Jetking 2022-2024 class compensated with focus and effort. After work, he dedicated most of his time to lab practice, self-study, and gradually familiarizing himself with new concepts about networks, systems, and security. For him, each lecture was a step closer to his dream. After two years of perseverance and serious study, he graduated at the top of his class with a near-perfect score.

Two years of study at FPT Jetking also opened up a job opportunity in his field as an IT network & system admin at ITI Logistics (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. For him, it was a "worthy reward" for his perseverance and serious commitment.
Phuong's learning experience at FPT Jetking is tied to the spirit of "learning to apply and create real value." Each semester, he participated in projects simulating real-world cybersecurity situations, receiving support from lecturers who guided students to understand and apply skills in their work.
"If you study, study properly. You don't need to be the best in the class, just be the best version of yourself," the valedictorian emphasized.

Phuong also shared that returning to school in his late 30s was not a reckless decision, but a responsible choice for his future. His journey is a testament to the motto: it's never too late to learn to change, as long as you have enough determination and are ready to start over.
