University of Information Technology's benchmark score reaches 30/30

For the first time in its history, the University of Information Technology, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, has a major with a benchmark score of 30/30.

On the afternoon of 9/8, the University of Information Technology (UIT), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, announced its benchmark scores for 2026.

Artificial Intelligence recorded the highest admission score at 100/100, equivalent to 30 points when converted to a 30-point scale. Following this were Data Science with 91,7 points, Microchip Design with 90,5 points, Information Security with 88,7 points, and Computer Science with 88,5 points, equivalent to 26,55 points or higher on the 30-point scale. These majors are within the technology sector, which currently faces high demand for human resources.

Other majors required scores of 76/100 points or higher, equivalent to 22,8 points on the 30-point scale.

Candidates can check their admission results from the afternoon of 10/8 and confirm their enrollment on the Ministry of Education and Training system before 17h on 21/8.

The detailed benchmark scores for the University of Information Technology across all majors for 2026 are as follows:

UIT plans to admit more than 2.300 students this year. The university primarily uses a comprehensive admission review, in addition to direct admissions for students who have won national and international awards.

The comprehensive admission score calculation formula for the University of Information Technology is as follows:

Admission Score = 47,5% x High School Transcript + 47,5% x Aptitude Assessment + 5% x Academic Record + Bonus Points (if any) + Priority Points (if any)

Tuition fees for new students at the University of Information Technology in 2026 range from approximately 41,8 million VND to 85 million VND, depending on the major and program.

Last year, the university's benchmark scores on the 30-point scale ranged from 24 to 29,6, with Artificial Intelligence being the highest.
