Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology minimum admission score is 15

The admission score for 52 out of 64 majors and programs at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) is 15 for a three-subject combination.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology announced its 2026 admission scores on the afternoon of 9/8.

For admissions based on 2026 national high school graduation exam results, HUTECH's scores range from 15 to 22. Medicine is the most competitive, requiring 22 points. Pharmacy, law, and economic law programs each have an admission score of 20. Nursing and medical laboratory technology require 18 points, while all other programs are set at 15 points.

Under the academic transcript admission method, medicine requires 23 points. Pharmacy, law, and economic law programs are set at 20 points, with all remaining programs requiring 18 points.

Health and law programs also have the highest admission scores when assessed via V-SAT results and the National University Ho Chi Minh City's competency assessment exam.

The 2026 admission scores for Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology by major are as follows:

This year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology plans to enroll approximately 10,000 students. For academic transcript-based admissions, applicants can submit either their combined average score from three subjects in 12th grade or their overall average score from all 12th-grade subjects.

When combining high school exam scores with academic transcripts for admission, the score is calculated using the following formula:

Admission score = (high school exam score + high school academic transcript score) / 2

Here, the high school exam score represents the total points from three subjects within the chosen admission combination, on a 30-point scale. The high school academic transcript score is the total average score for the entire 12th-grade year, multiplied by 3.
