University of Languages and International Studies sets highest admission score at 30

English language education and Chinese language education, both with a score of 30, lead the admission standards at the University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS), Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

On the evening of 22/8, ULIS announced its admission scores, ranging from 15.06 to 30 (out of 30). The admission scores include bonus points and regional/subject priority points. The two majors with the highest admission scores are English language education and Chinese language education. Japanese language education has the second highest score at 28.1. The lowest score is for economics and finance at 15.06.

Tuition fees for over 130 universities

In 2025, ULIS is admitting 2,400 students, an increase of 400 compared to last year. The five admission methods are: direct admission according to the Ministry of Education and Training's regulations; high school graduation exam scores; combined foreign language certificates and high school graduation exam scores; High School Admission (HSA) test scores; and combined certificates and academic transcripts (for students from high schools under Vietnam National University, Hanoi and specialized high school students nationwide).

Tuition fees for ULIS, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, for the 2025-2026 academic year are expected to range from 16.9 to 65 million VND. The highest level applies to the joint economics and finance program, an increase of over 2.5 million VND compared to before. International culture and communication, and Vietnamese language and culture have the lowest tuition fees.

Tuition fees for English, French, Chinese, German, Japanese, and Korean language majors remain at 38 million VND per year. Tuition fees for Russian and Arabic language majors also remain unchanged at 21 million VND.

After receiving the results, successful candidates must confirm their admission online on the Ministry's general system by 5 PM on 30/8. This is a mandatory step if candidates wish to enroll. Many universities may have additional enrollment steps and welcome students in person.

In 2024, ULIS's admission scores ranged from 26.75 to 38.45 out of 40 (foreign language score multiplied by two), with the highest being English language education.
