On 17/7, the University of Science, a part of Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), announced its minimum entry requirements for various admission methods.
For admission based on high school graduation exam scores, the university will accept applications with scores ranging from 16 to 24, depending on the program. The highest minimum score of 24 is required for semiconductor technology and integrated circuit design, with an additional requirement of at least 8 points in math.
Programs such as data science, computer science, information technology, and artificial intelligence have a minimum entry score of 20, a decrease of 4 points compared to the previous year.
For admission based on VNU-HCM’s competency assessment test, applicants need a score of 600-850 out of 1,200. Semiconductor technology and integrated circuit design programs require a minimum average math score of 8 over the three years of high school, and the competency assessment test score, when converted to the 2025 high school graduation exam scale, must be at least 24. The conversion formula has not yet been released.
