Hanoi National University of Medicine and Pharmacy (HNUNMP) announced on 12/7 the launch of four international master's programs in internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, and radiology and nuclear medicine. Each program is expected to enroll around 15 students.
The two-year programs, taught entirely in English, adhere to international accreditation standards. They are led by a team of Vietnamese and international experts and lecturers.
Students will gain clinical experience at nearly 30 central and Hanoi-based hospitals. Basic Vietnamese language courses will also be offered to help students with daily communication and cultural integration.
India is the first country to send students to these new programs. Over 400 Indian students are already pursuing undergraduate medical degrees at universities in Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh City.
While Hanoi Medical University previously offered an international master's program in public health, these are the first international programs at the master's level specifically in medical fields.
"Expanding international student enrollment, particularly in medicine and pharmacy, not only fosters multinational academic collaboration, but also creates an international environment within Vietnam, enhancing the country's academic reputation globally," said a HNUNMP representative.
