The awards, organized annually by Asian Business Review magazine, recognize outstanding technology initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region. VUS was honored in the "Mobile Application" category for its Ovi Students and Parents Apps ecosystem, launched on 1/4/2024.
Ovi Students has two levels: Kids (ages 6-11) and Teens (ages 11-15). Ovi Kids helps children learn English through gamification, set in a "Kingdom in the Clouds" with engaging characters. The content is linked to classroom lessons through interactive games and tasks to keep children interested and motivated to practice English.
Ovi Teens focuses on personalized learning journeys and helps students practice skills through age-appropriate challenges. Weekly tasks, rewards, and leaderboards maintain motivation, while the academic content increases in difficulty, creating a solid foundation for international exams.
Data shows a consistent Stickiness Ratio of 62-65% for both Ovi Kids and Ovi Teens. Internal data also shows that in the 2024-2025 school year, Super Kids students who completed over 75% of their Ovi Kids practice scored almost 3.5 points higher on their final exams than those who practiced less than 25%. For Young Leaders, the difference was up to 7 points. The most significant improvements were in Vocabulary, Writing, and Grammar, demonstrating Ovi's effectiveness in enhancing learning outcomes.
