Before receiving citizenship, George Clooney expressed his fondness for French culture and language, despite not being fluent in French. Speaking on RTL radio in early December, Clooney praised France's privacy protection laws, which shield his family from paparazzi.
"Here, no one secretly photographs children. No paparazzi lurk outside our children's school gates. That is the most important thing for my family", the actor stated. He also mentioned that while the family often travels, home brings them the most happiness.

In an October interview with Esquire, Clooney expressed gratitude for being able to raise his children on the estate. He believes that a rural lifestyle will help Alexander and Ella develop better and avoid unfair treatment often faced by celebrity children in Hollywood. "In this country, no one cares about fame. I do not want my children to worry about paparazzi when they go out. I also do not want them to be compared to other famous people's children", he added.
According to the Guardian, George Clooney has long admired Europe, choosing Venice, Italy, as the location for his wedding to lawyer Amal in 2014. In addition to their French estate, the actor owns properties in Lake Como, Italy, and a villa in the UK. The actor also has homes in the United States, including an apartment in New York and his hometown in Kentucky.
George Clooney, born in 1961, is renowned for films such as "Out Of Sight", "Ocean's Eleven", "Up In The Air", "Gravity", and "The Midnight Sky". He has received three Golden Globe Awards as an actor and two Academy Awards (Oscars) – one for his role in "Syriana" and another as a producer for "Argo". Beyond his work, Clooney is also recognized for his style.
Amal Clooney, born in 1978, is a British-Lebanese human rights lawyer fluent in French. She studied at St Hugh's College, Oxford, before pursuing a Master of Laws at New York University. Amal is proficient in three languages: English, French, and Arabic. Her career is marked by numerous hostage rescues, advocating for social activists, and combating genocide.
