The producer expressed confidence in securing two veteran actors for his debut feature film. Initially, the film was titled *Duong ve*. However, during script development, the team recognized the character's complex psychological journey, marked by missteps. Hoai Linh and Quyen Linh suggested the new title, which aligns better with Quach Beem and his collaborators' vision.
Hoai Linh is enthusiastic about reuniting with his colleague for this new project. In their youth, both shared a close bond while performing together on the Phuoc Sang stage. Later, Quyen Linh transitioned into acting and hosting, while Hoai Linh specialized in stage performances, leading to fewer opportunities for them to meet. Despite being the same age, Hoai Linh mentioned he often refers to Quyen Linh using the term "em," a Vietnamese affectionate term for a younger person, out of respect and fondness.
In recent years, upon his return to the big screen, Hoai Linh stated he selectively chooses projects to preserve his health. He recalled a period when he worked exhaustively, with an oxygen tank, a doctor, and a nurse constantly backstage. After each performance, he would change, apply makeup, receive injections, and have his blood pressure checked. "Now that I'm older, I no longer feel the need to work myself to death," he said.
