The "Hello Vietnam - Hello World" show, a key event of Miss World 2026, premiered on the evening of 2/9 at 2/4 Square in Nha Trang. Drawing approximately 5,000 spectators, the program's highlight was the "Dances of the World" segment, where 111 contestants performed traditional dances, igniting the atmosphere.

Contestants were grouped by region: Americas and Caribbean, Africa, Europe, and Asia-Oceania. They first performed a synchronized dance to upbeat music, then presented individual routines. Each routine showcased the cultural beauty of their home countries. The combination of intricate costumes and diverse dance forms created a visual feast for the audience.

Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, Vietnam's representative, presented "Lung troi vuong nang." Created by designers Bui The Bao and Nguyen Nguyen Bao, her performance drew inspiration from young women performing the H'Mong pan-pipe dance during spring. Her costume blended the green hues of the mountains with the pink of seasonal flowers and traditional brocade patterns, honoring the cultural identity of Vietnam's Northwest highlands.

The Americas and Caribbean group wore large, vibrant outfits, accompanied by fast-paced music. Many incorporated festival imagery, natural elements, beliefs, and familiar national symbols into their performances.

European contestants showcased designs reflecting history, architecture, folk art, and iconic figures.

One contestant from Africa utilized a large feather hat, animal skin patterns, shell necklaces, fiber skirts, and props inspired by traditional African dances.

In Leakena performed a traditional dance in a costume reflecting Cambodia's Khmer culture.

Asia Rose Simpso, 18, from the Philippines, wore a layered costume and performed spinning movements for a dynamic effect. As one of the youngest contestants at Miss World 2026, she has gained attention for her strong performance in preliminary rounds.

Several contestants enhanced their presentations by combining costumes with accessories.

Representatives from Mongolia, Spain, Panama, and the Dominican Republic (from left) recreated distinct cultural features of their homelands.

Organizers stated that "Dances of the World" not only celebrates each nation's identity but also fosters connection between cultures through music, costumes, and dance.

Ms. Julia Morley (front row, fifth from left), Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of the Miss World Organization, along with guests and contestants, concluded the program. Following this event, contestants began rehearsals for the final competition, scheduled for the evening of 5/9.

This year marks the first time Miss World has been held in Vietnam in its 72-season history. Organized by Sen Vang company in collaboration with the Miss World Organization, the event spanned three provinces – Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, and Khanh Hoa – from 8/8 to 5/9. The final will take place on an outdoor beachfront stage within 2/4 Square in Nha Trang.

First organized in 1951, Miss World stands as one of the two largest and oldest beauty pageants globally, alongside Miss Universe. The competition promotes global unity by seeking women who possess beauty, education, and meaningful community projects.
