Young designers participated in Vietnam NextGen Fashion Era 2, held on 9/10 in TP HCM. Director Long Kan founded the event, which gathered prominent designers like Le Thanh Hoa, Vu Viet Ha, Nguyen Tien Truyen, Adrian Anh Tuan, and Nguyen Minh Cong to support emerging talent.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of graduation projects by valedictorians from fashion programs. Miss Bui Quynh Hoa wore a deep-cut halter-neck mermaid gown, featuring embossed patterns by Luc Gia Nhat from Hanoi University of Architecture. The skirt flared widely with multiple layers of chiffon, paired with oversized puff sleeves embroidered with golden accents.

Miss Universe Vietnam 2026 Quynh Anh showcased a design by Nhu Quynh, a graduate of Hoa Sen University. The dress featured a bodice adorned with swirling patterns and a golden necklace. The asymmetrical skirt, with a high slit, incorporated tiered feathers for a flowing effect during movement.

Runner-up Cam Ly walked the runway in a design exploring the theme of women's inner strength, created by Bui Quynh Trang from Central Art Education University. The outfit stood out with a form-fitting corset top, golden metallic details on the chest, and structured shoulders embellished with crystals.

Vu Thi Cuc from Hanoi University of Industry and Trade presented a golden-accented cape with 3D dragon head shoulder pads. Mister Supranational Thailand 2023, Topz Nathanon, helped her showcase the creation to the judging panel.

Trinh Minh Hoang from the University of Industrial Fine Arts introduced a gown with a fitted, deeply cut bodice covered in feather-like details. The highlight was a 3D sculpted skirt, mimicking a mystical face with prominent raised lines.

Dao Cong Qui from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Engineering brought a fitted dress made of sheer material to the runway. The design included prominent decorative details on the hips and fringe on the skirt.

Tran Anh Khoa from HUTECH University presented a wide-cut strapless dress, using soft fabric with marbled color patches, creating a stone-like effect. This outfit earned him The Changemaker - Sustainable Designer award within the program.

Nguyen Tran Trong Nghi from Ton Duc Thang University explored Champa culture through a brown-toned design, comprising a long-sleeved crop top with embossed patterns and a fitted, embellished skirt. The outfit was paired with a cylindrical hat decorated with tassels, swirling patterns, and a long fabric train at the back, evoking Champa sculpture and decorative art.

Miss Cosmo 2025 Yolina Lindquist presented a design from the "Dalat dans la brume" collection, inspired by the misty imagery of Da Lat. This collection earned designer Dinh Thien Phong the top award, The Next Icon - New Generation Icon.
Director Long Kan announced that the top three award-winning designers will have the opportunity to showcase their collections at an international fashion event in Milan soon. They will also design outfits for Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2026.
Vietnam NextGen Fashion (VNGF) serves as a platform for young designers to present their collections on a professional runway. This year's competition featured 34 contestants. The organizers spent half a year visiting universities to select candidates.
