Nguyen Van Chung renovates 128 m2 townhouse for his father

Musician Nguyen Van Chung spent five months renovating his father's 128 m2 townhouse in Ho Chi Minh City.

The musician revealed his intention to renovate the house many years ago, but due to unstable finances, he could only proceed early this year. Instead of a complete rebuild, he chose to renovate specific functional areas.

"During her lifetime, my mother always desired a beautiful and spacious home, but she felt bad about the expense and was reluctant to disrupt their routine," he said. He arranged the renovated house according to his mother's preferences: a spacious living room with enough amenities to welcome relatives and friends, a kitchen painted predominantly white, and a cozy altar room. The musician also added a room to display his trophies and commendations, marking his career journey.

According to Nguyen Van Chung, the renovation period coincided with his busy filming schedule for the program "Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai 2026". Unable to be present at the construction site regularly, he primarily supervised remotely via phone. Several construction items deviated from the design and had to be demolished and redone, extending the timeline and incurring additional costs.

For the musician, renovating the house is a milestone that affirms his maturity and filial piety. "I always cherish deeply the gratitude for those who supported my success," he stated.

He is currently a single father, living with his 14-year-old son, Hieu Long, in an apartment in Ho Chi Minh City. His daughter moved to Australia to live with his ex-wife. Since his mother's passing, the musician regularly brings his son to his paternal grandfather's house for weekend gatherings to strengthen family bonds.

Nguyen Van Chung, 43 years old, graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology before becoming a musician. During his student years, he began composing, gaining fame with songs such as "Nguoi thay", "Vang trang khoc", "Dem trang tinh yeu", and "Ngoi nha hoa hong".

In 2025, his song "Viet tiep cau chuyen hoa binh" became a phenomenon, garnering over 5 billion views across platforms. He also achieved success in children's music, with approximately 300 songs.
