Martial arts star Danny Chan Kwok Kwan has arrived in Vietnam for his first project in the country, marking a notable crossover between Hong Kong cinema and the Vietnamese gaming industry. Chan expressed his long-standing interest in the Vietnamese market and a desire to develop his career there. After thoroughly reviewing the project, he praised publisher Vplay's professionalism and the scale of its promotional campaign investment. "I am honored to be chosen as the game's ambassador", the actor stated.

Born in 1975, Danny Chan Kwok Kwan was initially a member of the band Poet before transitioning into acting. His resemblance to Bruce Lee and his study of Jeet Kune Do, the martial art created by the late icon, frequently led to him portraying the legend in films such as "The Legend of Bruce Lee", "Ip Man 3", and "Ip Man 4". In Stephen Chow's "Kung Fu Hustle", which Chow directed, wrote, and starred in back in 2004, Chan played Brother Sum, the ruthless leader of the Axe Gang. His other notable films include "Shaolin Soccer" and "A Chinese Tall Story". Chan married in 2014 and has one son.

Joining Danny Chan Kwok Kwan on this project is Duong Minh Chien, who won the "Best Director" award for the film "In Search of Dragon's Breath" at the 4th Asian Film Festival. Duong Minh Chien is also the founder of Action C, a team behind many action projects. A Vplay representative stated that the collaboration between Chan and director Duong Minh Chien is part of the launch campaign for their latest MMORPG, Tuyet Dinh Chien Gioi. The publisher's strategy centers the media campaign around the character Brother Sum (Sam Ca), leader of the Axe Gang, inspired by Chan's role in "Kung Fu Hustle".

In addition to a trailer produced by Action C, the Brother Sum character will feature on out-of-home (OOH) advertising systems, serve as an in-game guiding non-player character (NPC), and be recreated with exclusive costumes that closely adhere to the original design. By extending the character's image across multiple touchpoints, Vplay aims to leverage cinematic language to tell the game's story, moving beyond single promotional videos.

The publisher announced Tuyet Dinh Chien Gioi as a new-generation MMORPG featuring 3D graphics, a diverse character system, and extensive PvE (player versus environment) and PvP (player versus player) content. Players will progressively explore a martial arts world through leveling up, boss hunting, conquering dungeons, participating in inter-server battles, and forming guilds to compete in key community activities.

"We anticipate that the combination of technology and a major action film star will help the game make a significant impact upon its launch, while also expanding entertainment options for the Vietnamese gaming community this summer", a Vplay representative added.
