Tran Dao Gia Tue and actor Phuong Nam, the male lead in the film Ut Lan 2 (directed by Tran Trong Dan), attended a red carpet event on 17/9 in TP HCM. The horror film topped the box office last weekend, grossing 21 billion VND. While the script had some flaws, Gia Tue's performance was a highlight. She played Thuong, a victim targeted by dark forces, who also serves as a key to unlocking secrets.

Gia Tue is seen in a scene where young Thuong is possessed by a demon, her body beginning to change amidst her father's (played by Phuong Nam) panic. After watching an early screening, director Thanh Vinh praised Gia Tue's strong performance, both in her dialogue and expressions.

Throughout one month of filming in U Minh Thuong, An Giang, director Tran Trong Dan noted that Gia Tue grasped the character's psychology well and worked professionally and punctually.

Since the beginning of the year, the child star has been one of the most sought-after actors in Vietnamese cinema, consistently appearing in six theatrical releases across various genres, from historical and psychological family dramas to horror.

Oanh Trinh, Gia Tue's mother, discovered her daughter's talent when Gia Tue was three years old. At that time, the young girl often re-enacted characters from animated films. Her mother enrolled her in various trial classes, including dancing, drawing, and ballet, but Gia Tue ultimately chose acting. After being introduced to casting by her teacher, Gia Tue landed her first film role in "Thanh am vuot dai duong."

Oanh Trinh helps her daughter select suitable projects, ensuring that employment contracts include provisions to protect children's rights when working with film crews. She always accompanies Gia Tue on set, entrusting her nail salon business to her husband.

In April, Gia Tue made a mark in the film "Anh Hung," starring alongside actor Thai Hoa. The movie centers on Hung, a single father and taxi driver whose youngest daughter, My, suffers from liver failure. The hospital fees of approximately one billion VND for a liver transplant surgery push him into despair.

Thai Hoa mentioned that when filming a scene with the child star where young My was in critical condition at the hospital, Gia Tue's performance helped him immerse himself more deeply into his character.

Director Vo Thach Thao initially learned about Gia Tue through a project. When writing the script for "Anh Hung," she created the character of young My based on Gia Tue's image. During rehearsals, Gia Tue's mother would read the script and explain the scenes to her daughter. On set, the director provided gentle guidance, allowing Gia Tue to act based on her personal feelings, avoiding forced performances that could make her unnatural.

The actress collaborated with Quang Tuan in "Quy nhap trang 2," which premiered in March. Gia Tue played the younger version of the main character.

Beyond commercial films, the child star has also participated in history-inspired cinema projects. In July, Gia Tue joined the film "Thanh am vuot dai duong," a script revolving around prisoners at Con Dao prison during the French resistance. She played a supporting role, An, with several scenes practicing the dan bau (Vietnamese monochord).

Next, Gia Tue will venture into the body horror genre in Ham Tran's film "Soi chi do," set to be released in early December. Director Ham Tran (left) selected the child star for the lead role after watching some of Gia Tue's previous films, including "Anh Hung," noting her strong emotional expression. The film will be introduced at the 31st Busan International Film Festival in October, in the Midnight Passion category for thrillers.

Gia Tue cried when speaking about her mother at a film press conference in April. The young actress expressed gratitude to her mother for working hard and providing the foundation for her to freely pursue acting.

Gia Tue's mother respects her daughter's passion, often reminding her to live kindly, respectfully, and responsibly. The actress is supported by her school and homeroom teacher in pursuing acting, with assistance for online learning. Film crews schedule Gia Tue's shoots for weekends and seek school permission before taking her to film.

Gia Tue stated that she strives in her studies despite her busy filming schedule, consistently achieving excellent grades. "I love acting and want to be in films until I'm old," the child actress shared.
