Celebrating her birthday on 29/7 with her husband and children, the singer expressed gratitude for her current life, stating her commitment to maintaining good health to care for her family.

Duy Uyen currently resides in Anaheim, California, where she works as an editor for a Vietnamese community television station and holds a part-time position in the healthcare industry. Her flexible schedule allows her to conveniently manage school drop-offs and pick-ups for her two children, as well as household responsibilities.

On weekends, Duy Uyen enjoys shopping and dining with her family and friends. Now in her 40s, with a stable life, secure finances, and independent children, she dedicates more time to herself. Daily, she maintains an hour of exercise, including gym, cardio, and pilates, to stay fit and youthful. The singer also creates videos about her daily life or trendy social media content for entertainment.

"I wouldn't claim my current life is perfect, but it is fulfilling and peaceful. I am satisfied with everything", the former Mat Ngoc member stated.

According to Duy Uyen, her harmonious family is the result of her and her husband's mutual understanding. The singer married Tuong Huy, a Vietnamese-American, in 2010 and has resided in the US since then. Despite her busy work and childcare responsibilities, she rarely feels stressed, attributing this to her supportive partner. Her husband, an HR manager, has a passion for art and is ready to support her if she chooses to return to her singing career. He consistently makes time for family outings, dining, or travel.

The former Mat Ngoc member describes her husband as thoughtful, gentle, and reserved. He proactively manages the family's finances, freeing her from financial concerns. This allows her to freely use her personal income for hobbies such as luxury shopping or travel.

Regarding parenting, he respects Duy Uyen's methods, granting her full autonomy and trust. The singer is proud that her 12-year-old daughter is growing into an understanding child who cares for her family. She often observes each family member's preferences, even advising her father on birthday gifts for her mother. Meanwhile, her three-year-old son is well-behaved and obedient, also a significant source of happiness for her.

Last summer, the singer and her husband took their two children to Vietnam to visit relatives. During this trip, Duy Uyen reunited with the original members of Mat Ngoc, including Thanh Ngoc, Ngo Quynh Anh, and Thuy Nga, reminiscing about their performing days.

According to her, the 1990s marked a boom in Vietnamese music, with numerous new songs, young vocalists, and music groups receiving enthusiastic public support. Alongside prominent names like Phuong Thanh, Lam Truong, Dan Truong, and Quang Linh, her group, Mat Ngoc, along with Tam ca Ao Trang and Ba Con Meo, also achieved widespread popularity and booked many shows. Among their hits, "Vao doi" (by Do Dinh Phuc) is considered Mat Ngoc's most successful.

After 16 years of living in the US, Duy Uyen admits she occasionally misses the stage but consistently prioritizes her roles as a mother and wife. Previously, she performed at Vietnamese community events. However, after giving birth to her second child in 2023, the singer stopped weekend performances to dedicate herself fully to her family.

Duy Uyen was born in 1983 in TP HCM. After Thanh Ngoc left Mat Ngoc (the group formed in 1998), Duy Uyen assumed the role of group leader. The lineup, consisting of Duy Uyen, Thuy Nga, and new member Hoang Oanh, remained stable for an additional six years. In 2010, she left the group, married, and moved to the US.
