Filipino heartthrob stars in music video with Vu Thao My

Filipino entertainment star Gelo Rivera, standing 1.88 m tall, has captured audience attention by starring in the "Ga san moi" music video alongside Vu Thao My.

He plays the male lead in Vu Thao My's music product, released on 21/4. The music video portrays the perspective of a modern woman in a romantic relationship.

The excerpt from Vu Thao My's music video combines various genres including pop, R&B, and rap. Their intimate photos from the project received significant fan interaction.

Gelo Rivera, whose real name is Angelo Troy Rivera, is 25 years old. He is the leader of the group BGYO under Star Magic (ABS-CBN) and is active in the Filipino music market.

Vu Thao My shared that she had the opportunity to collaborate with Gelo through a connection from a mutual acquaintance. During the music video production, the two singers faced scheduling difficulties due to conflicting work commitments. Earlier this year, Gelo flew to TP HCM to film the music video over two days.

For Gelo Rivera, the biggest challenge was the language barrier while working with the Vietnamese crew. "We worked hard to stay on schedule and convey the project's true spirit. I have many fond memories from this collaboration", Gelo said.

According to Vu Thao My, Gelo Rivera's participation brought a "fresh dynamic" to the product. In the music video, he raps and performs many fast, decisive dance moves.

Within BGYO, Gelo (second from the right) possesses comprehensive performance skills, including singing, rapping, and dancing. Billboard Philippines noted Gelo's advantage is his stage presence. VMAN Southeast Asia commented that he has a calm demeanor and knows how to lead the group.
