For over five years, Ta Hien has lived in seclusion, refraining from participating in public events. While some sources suggested he had suffered a stroke, his family has not commented. AM 730 reports that his current health is stable, and his mind remains clear. He is always accompanied by at least two people when he goes out.

Ta Hien's name trended on Weibo multiple times over the past week, following his ex-girlfriend, model Coco, posting videos about their past relationship. Coco recounted their first meeting, his charismatic approach to women, and the gestures he made for her. She credits him as a benefactor, guiding her path, enabling her to study abroad, and helping her gain confidence and self-sufficiency.

In a video posted on 5/5, Coco mentioned their last encounter was in 2018. She explained that they never formally broke up but gradually drifted apart as she focused on her career. During that final meeting, Ta Hien hugged her tightly, saying with a laugh, "This time, who knows when we'll meet again." Coco viewed this as a gracious farewell, with both wishing each other well.
