According to Nhu, her family is her motivation to work hard. She wants to achieve the highest possible result at the competition to honor her grandmother, who passed away in August. "When she was alive, I told her about the crown and promised to do my best at the international competition," she said emotionally.

On 6/9, Ha Tam Nhu arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport, Ho Chi Minh City, to depart for Bangkok and participate in the beauty pageant for transgender women. She wore an ao dai designed by Ngo Nhat Huy.

The 27-year-old Nhu, hailing from Vinh Long, stands 1.8 m tall with measurements of 84-64-90 cm. She won the title of Miss International Queen Vietnam 2025 in May.

For this competition, Nhu has received support from renowned designers such as Nguyen Tien Truyen, Ngo Manh Dong Dong, and Brian Vo.

Nhu's parents traveled from their hometown to Ho Chi Minh City to support their daughter. They said they have supported Nhu in every way, from the time she decided to transition several years ago to the present.

"We hope she feels confident to achieve the best result," a family representative said.

Nhu brought nearly 100 kg of luggage, including evening gowns, traditional attire, and gifts for fellow contestants. Over the past four months, she has honed her stage presence, posing, public speaking, and foreign language skills.

Held in Thailand since 2004, Miss International Queen is one of the world's largest beauty pageants for transgender women. The best result for a Vietnamese contestant was Huong Giang Idol, who won the crown in 2018. Most recently, Tuong San participated in August 2024 and won second runner-up.
