Nhu participates in the competition held in Thailand alongside 21 other transgender beauties. In the early stages, some beauty websites predicted she would be in the top 3 based on her photos and performance at fringe activities. Upon arrival in Bangkok, Nhu was one of the few contestants chosen by the organizers to film with a sponsor.

Ha Tam Nhu, whose birth name is Ha Minh Vuong, is 27 years old and hails from Vinh Long. Her measurements are 84-64-90 cm. She underwent gender confirmation surgery in 2023. Nhu shared that her family has been supportive, providing her with emotional support through many difficult times.

She won the title of Miss International Queen Vietnam last May, earning her a spot in the international competition.

On 8/9, Nhu wore a tight-fitting dress and a high bun while traveling from Pattaya to Chiang Mai to prepare for the next activity. She gave interviews to media channels and interacted with contestants from Ecuador and Venezuela backstage.

The best result for a Vietnamese contestant in this competition belongs to Huong Giang Idol, who won in 2018. Most recently, Tuong San participated in the competition in August 2024 and won second runner-up.
