Selena Gomez: My fiance loves having me in the kitchen

Singer Selena Gomez says her fiance, music producer Benny Blanco, enjoys it when she watches him cook and praises his culinary skills.

On the "Good Hang with Amy Poehler" podcast on 9/9, Selena Gomez revealed that Benny Blanco is a food lover. Although he's never explicitly admitted it, Gomez believes Blanco enjoys having her by his side while he cooks, explaining what he's doing. She finds this "the cutest thing ever."

Gomez, who also enjoys cooking and has showcased her skills on the show "Selena + Chef," admits she's not a culinary expert. She often feels pressured when cooking with Blanco. The artist recounted an incident where her fiance became annoyed when she prepared dinner for their friends. "He was like, 'Why don't you cook for me?' because compared to his abilities, mine are just 'frozen food with sauce,'" she joked.

Blanco has previously spoken about Gomez's eating and cooking habits in interviews. On the "TalkShopLive" podcast in 3/2024, he stated they often cook together, praising her talent. "She's not only great on screen, but also an amazing cook. We have a lot of fun in the kitchen," he added.

He also revealed that the "Good for You" singer is a "huge fan" of steak and steak-related dishes. Knowing Gomez also enjoys soup, he once made some and brought it to her on set. In a May interview with Elle, Blanco mentioned he often prepares her favorite dishes and stocks the refrigerator so she can reheat and enjoy them whenever she's hungry.

Gomez and Blanco began dating in 6/2023 and went public with their relationship in December of the same year. In late 2024, Gomez announced their engagement by showcasing her ring on Instagram. On 28/8, she posted photos of her bachelorette party with friends on a yacht in Mexico a few days prior. Coincidentally, Blanco had a similar party in Las Vegas.

While the couple hasn't revealed details about their wedding, TMZ reports it's scheduled for late September in Montecito, Santa Barbara, California. They're reportedly keeping the date and location private, sharing information only with invited guests. Paris Hilton is among the confirmed attendees. At the VMAs on 7/9, Hilton's sister, Nicky, inadvertently told Access Hollywood she knew Paris was attending because it was marked on her calendar.

Gomez, 33, gained fame through Disney Channel roles before transitioning to music. She starred in shows like "Wizards of Waverly Place" and "Barney & Friends." Her albums frequently rank high on the Billboard charts, with hits including "Lose You to Love Me," "Hands to Myself," and "Good for You." Beyond music, Gomez owns the two billion USD cosmetics brand Rare Beauty and the mental wellness company Wondermind.

Blanco, 37, is a music producer who has collaborated with artists like Halsey, Khalid, The Weeknd, and Justin Bieber. In 4/2024, he released the cookbook "Open Wide: A Cookbook for Friends." Before dating Gomez, Blanco kept his relationships private, although he dated model Elsie Hewitt for several years.
