The Vietnam iContent Awards celebrates individuals and groups who have made outstanding contributions to the digital creative field. It also provides networking, learning, and collaboration opportunities. The event is co-organized by the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information (ABEI), under the Ministry of Information and Communications, VnExpress Newspaper, and FPT Online.
A look back at the first year's success
The inaugural awards were divided into four categories: Digital Platform, Digital Creator, Digital Product, and For the Community. Each category included several awards.
The organizing committee received over 100 nominations between 9/9/2024 and 9/10/2024. The preliminary and final rounds garnered 400,000 votes and 1.5 million views on the official website. The transparent scoring method, combining a judging panel (70%) and public voting (30%), demonstrated the importance of public opinion. The "Most Popular Creator" award was determined entirely by audience votes.
Before the awards ceremony, the Vietnam Digital Content Creators Festival 2024 attracted around 2,000 visitors. Nearly 20 booths from major brands and platforms like Unilever, Meta, TikTok, and Vinamilk created a rich experience across 1,500 m2. Attendees met celebrities, checked in at photo booths, received gifts, and enjoyed performances by TikTokers.
Concurrent forums and workshops discussed digital transformation, creative strategies, and brand-creator collaborations. Discussions featuring representatives from major platforms and industry experts helped shape the future of the digital content industry.
On the afternoon of 30/11/2024, thousands of young people filled the Military Zone 7 Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing banners and lightsticks to support their idols. The fan clubs of Ninh Anh Bui - Tung Duong and singer Kay Tran transformed the auditorium into a "sea of light." The excitement before the event underscored its appeal to the young creative community.
The awards gala began at 7:30 pm, featuring celebrities like MC Quyen Linh, Miss H'Hen Nie, Luong Thuy Linh, singers Hoang Hai and Vu Thao My, BB Tran, and Khanh Vy. The red carpet welcomed not only artists but also content creators with millions of followers.

Building on the first year's momentum
The success of the 2024 Vietnam iContent Awards affirmed the role of content creators in modern society. The event not only honored outstanding individuals and organizations but also highlighted the position of the digital creative industry in Vietnam.
According to Le Quang Tu Do, Director of the ABEI, the 2024 iContent Awards held three special meanings: it was the first time digital content creators were honored at a national event; it marked the first collaboration of Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok; and individuals were recognized as true digital content creators, beyond labels like YouTuber or TikToker.
