On 7/3, Hoa Minzy publicly announced her relationship with Captain Thang Van Cuong for the first time. On his personal page, her boyfriend wrote: "Thank you for everything, my parents, family, and I are very happy to have you as my wife and daughter-in-law. I will strive for our future and our children. I love you, my wife!".

The couple currently refers to each other as husband and wife, though they have not yet announced their marriage.

People close to Hoa Minzy, her fans, and colleagues congratulated the couple. Singer Erik wrote: "Be happy forever, my big sister". Hoa Minzy's mother, Vu Thi Lien, expressed: "I only wish for my two children to be happy."
