In a video shared by a fan, Bieber chatted with a young fan and wished an audience member a happy birthday.
The performance quickly garnered attention, with passersby recording and sharing it on social media. Some accounts expressed surprise at Bieber's decision to hold a "mini-concert" in this area, known for its unstable security and social issues. According to The Guardian, MacArthur Park, located west of downtown, is a hub for many gangs and a concentration of drug users. In recent years, homeless individuals have frequently moved there, setting up tents around the park.
Sources from TMZ reported that Bieber organized the show to assist the homeless people living there. The artist reportedly spent thousands of USD on essential items such as gift cards, socks, water, and other necessities for them. Speaking with Page Six, Daniel Orea, manager of a nearby bakery, recounted seeing the singer and his friends carrying small paper bags with items inside, which they distributed to many homeless individuals. Two of Bieber's friends also bought all the fresh donuts from the store to give to concertgoers.

Justin Bieber's concert received positive feedback from local authorities. On X, Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman described the performance as "a testament to the progress in reclaiming the park from drug dealers, transforming it into a family-friendly space". Bill Essayli, a senior federal prosecutor for the city, echoed similar sentiments. In a post on his personal page, Essayli stated, "it's great to see criminals removed from public spaces".
According to Page Six, this was not the first time Justin Bieber has assisted the homeless community in Los Angeles. In 2/2020, he collaborated with the charity Alexandria House to establish the Intentions fund, aiming to help vulnerable women and children achieve stable lives. Bieber partnered with rapper Quavo to film a music video of the same name to support the project.
